Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Farmingdale as follows:
§ 20-1. Definitions.
As used in this local law, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
APPEARANCE TICKET - A written notice issued and subscribed by
a police officer or the officers and employees of the Village of Farmingdale
referred to in § 20-2 directing a designated person to appear in the Police
Justice Court of the Village of Farmingdale at a designated future time in
connection with an alleged violation of a designated offense under the
provisions of the Code of the Village of Farmingdale.
§ 20-2. Authorization to issue appearance tickets.

The following persons are hereby
authorized to issue appearance tickets under the provisions of § 150.10
of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York and under the
Code of the Village of Farmingdale: Building Inspector, Housing
Inspector, Superintendent of Public Works, Village Clerk, Chief
Assistant Fire Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer, Parking Meter
Attendant and Auxiliary Police of the Village of Farmingdale. [Amended

The Board of Trustees is hereby
empowered by resolution, upon its own motion, at any time to authorize
certain persons to issue appearance tickets. [Added 7-22-1991 by L.L. No
7, 1991]

§ 20-3. When effective.
This local law shall take effect immediately.
